ManagePlaces makes working with timesheets a breeze. You and your contractors can log timesheets directly in the project or task you're working on and ManagePlaces will update your finances automatically. All activity is recorded in real-time and you will be notified whenever a timesheet is logged. Here's how to set up timesheets in a few simple steps:
Step 1:
If you want to set up timesheets for your contractors, you will first need to invite them to access your account. Here is a quick and easy guide on inviting team members to your ManagePlaces account.
Step 2:
When your contractor or team member has accepted the invitation, you can define a cost rate for them. To do this click Settings > Team members. Now click on the ellipses next to the relevant team member and select Edit. From here you can set the team member's cost rate under the 'Finance' section. Click the Update user button when complete.
Note: The rate set is an hourly rate and is multiplied by 8 to calculate the daily rate for forecasts.
Step 3:
Now that the cost rate has been set, both you and the team member can log timesheets as needed. First click into the relevant project or task and then click into Finances (in the secondary menu). From here, click the Add new button and select Add timesheet entry.
Step 4:
Now simply complete the timesheet entry by selecting the team member, date and duration of the work completed. You can also add notes if needed as well as the relevant task and item. When complete, click Add timesheet entry and you're done. You can view timesheets by clicking into the project and then clicking Finances (in the secondary menu) > Timesheets.
