Would you like to receive email notifications on when your tasks are about to start? Or perhaps an email to tell you that you should be finishing that task in the next few days? Well, now you can with automatic task reminders!
ManagePlaces can now be configured to automatically send out email reminders to all users assigned to a task that is due to start soon, and also for tasks that are approaching their scheduled deadline. This guide will show you how to set it up on each task, and how to alter the timings of the reminders.
Let's start with a task. If you look on a task screen itself, you can see if the task has reminders set on the details table:
The green box with the tick shows you it has been enabled for this task. You can turn this on and off for individual tasks as necessary. If this is disabled then it will show as a red box.
If you wish to change the automatic task reminders for a task, simply edit the task and scroll down to this checkbox to toggle it:
The emails are sent on based on a configurable number of days before the start or end of a task. To edit this, go to the Settings page, and edit your Company Details (note if you do not have this option, you will have to ask one of your administrators to change it for you). From the Company Details screen, you can see the settings under Task Reminders Settings:
If you now click on the Edit Settings button, you should be able to scroll down to this section and change the number of days before the reminders are sent:
That's it! Simple and easy reminders for all of your tasks.
